Bad chapter, this idiot MC already realized the village chief was sus and what had happened to the villagers, he even knew he had no real power, instead of invetigating alone he should have shared info with the bad cousins.

Honestly, if the eldest brother has his suspicions about the Uncle, it's unacceptable that he isn't more forceful in keeping Eugene away from him. Or the eldest just thinks he's shameful for elitest reasons like the rest. Sort of a lose-lose for a character trait.
