Knowing it's a manga, they will make a conveniently important reason why she had to go see the play with the president. Why couldn't u have made plans with him after her date with the president?

God, what has this manga become? I didn't have high expectations to begin with, but this could pass as something Seo Kouji would write.

Story was published in 1997, and they WERE highschool students. They might have had the the Motorola StarTAC or some brick of a Nokia, but considering the cost, I doubt it was common for most students to have their own phones.

Right. They be deadass playing MK Ultra mind games on us readers. Some bullshit if u ask me. I'm sure it will be explained why she decided to show up (I presume she gave an excuse to the president, so she could meet up with MC, but she had made the decision at the last second, so she wasn't able to arrive on time).
That being said, I'm sure they will end up together in the end (as they always do), but the road to hell is paved with good intentions (or in their case, the road to love is paved with LOTS OF DRAMA AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS).
