This was a lovely series, good enough I got through the full official english myself. I will warn that it has some horrifically messed up moments for sure, and it doesn't shy away from that or making our protagonists suffer through harsh moments, but it also has other moments of hope and brightness that has stuck with me for a long time now. Hope you're able to stick with it to get to the end of the current arc, because god damn do they do good work here

I may be wrong, but everything I read tells me that Chiba seems to only ever had "fantasy" as his true love. He does not strike me as a person to desire relationships for the sake of them. He probably was going through the motions at the reunion until he found out a fellow geek was across the table.

Edit: Even with chapter 15 affirming that Chiba had a girlfriend once, I still feel this way.
