Letting him go makes no sense at all. If he promised to release his ability for it that'd make some sense but letting him go just because he gave you an extremely vague solution is fucking braindead. Especially since there's every chance he's lying and his skill automatically lifts if he goes unconscious or dies, after all he instantly affected everyone in town with an extremely abnormal state, it's gotta have some drawback other than "doesn't work on protagonists".

He isn't lying about "peace" that what HE think/dream about. We don't have an idea what kind of "dream" he spoken of.

I don't get it. The villain's last statement wasto threaten to use the desire erasure skill again even if mc is able to lift the current application. So why are they not killing him now, or are they trying to confirm that they are able to lift the curse first without meeting his hostage demands?

Also shouldn't they have restrained him or lock him in a room? He has supposedly no combat abilities. Why let him roam freely, who knows what else he's up to?
