Been thinking this since like the 1st chapter he appeared in. He seems like that typeIf I were a betting man, I'd be willing to put money down on the duke trying to take the FL with him and is willing to use underhanded means if necessary. I don't trust him.
i also think he's annoying af. despite his all of his unreasonable demand he have the audacity to compare himself to the prince while as far as the story goes never really forced unreasonable demand. and always felt really sorry if he want to ask something and reassure her it's ok to refuse if she feel burdened about it (if i'm not wrong since it's been a long time since this manga got an update. so my memory is a bit blurry). correct me on this one if i'm wrongIf I were a betting man, I'd be willing to put money down on the duke trying to take the FL with him and is willing to use underhanded means if necessary. Not in every culture's cuisine. Some use things like yogurt, applesauce, or condensed milk to name a few.Isn't it the most basic of basic steps to add eggs to get any kind of flour to stick together?
I looked up a homemade rice noodle recipe. https://thewoksoflife.com/homemade-rice-noodles/ It looks like a serious PITA.This chapter got me curious, so i went and ground some plain dried rice in a spice grinder.
It ground up into a nice fine flour, and came together quite well.
I ended up making mochi out of it.
The first is because it means we get to see other types of food we don't usually see in manga. Other types of Asian food is surprisingly rare.Variety of food other than Japan ✅
Not everyone like the MC's food ✅
The MC not able to cook everything and need to do trial and error ✅
Egg is the glue of cooking. But slightly tastier.Isn't it the most basic of basic steps to add eggs to get any kind of flour to stick together?
Doing that works for almost any kind of grain; stick it in a blender, food processor, or other fine grinder and you can use the resulting flour almost identically to how you can use wheat flour. It even works with things like potatoes. This chapter got me curious, so i went and ground some plain dried rice in a spice grinder.

Thank you for the explanations, but for the second one I meant for the cake case, when the guy doesn't like it because it's too sweet. I always find it weird how in Isekai cooking everyone always likes the food, regardless of their taste. The first is because it means we get to see other types of food we don't usually see in manga. The second because chilling the MC all the time gets stale and gratuitous, as if we can't like an MC not all characters like. Using other characters to hold up MC doesn't make me like the MC. It's like saying you should like something because it's popular, not because it's good.
The third because struggles are far more interesting than just knowing everything. Cheat skills and knowledge suck out plot opportunities and turn them into situations the MC can just magically solve.
It's the same thing. The characters don't get to have their own tastes because they're too busy chilling the MC.for the second one I meant for the cake case, when the guy doesn't like it because it's too sweet.
Yes, but no. If you're making wheat noodles, absolutely, but rice noodles like those in pho wouldn't use eggs as a binder. In the case of rice noodles, tapioca (as said by hng in this thread) or corn starch can be used.Isn't it the most basic of basic steps to add eggs to get any kind of flour to stick together?
