public baths weren't widespread anywhere outside the greek and roman empires until aqueducts were invented. who would build a public bath in a world where such plumbing doesn't even exists aside from eccentrics? remember filling up a bath would take tens to hundreds of people depending on the size constantly moving water from a well or lake until the bath is full and then they would have to drain it and repeat the process all over again. there are no benefits to doing this for anyone since it's not cost efficient at all. even if she is fairly well off, baths in such a time period was a benefit that only the richest could afford to build and fill up with water. japan has always had a culture of bathing and no one was bared from it.

Do you even know how recent the Kofun period actually was? Japanese Pre-History? Before recorded existence of Japan as anything other than hunter-gatherer society?
It STARTS at the Fall of the Western Roman Empire; Between 200-500 CE.

There was common bathing for everybody else in Eurasia, and for sure from North Africa to Ireland for Centuries before Japan even had Writing.

Get that in your head:
Baths have been common in Eurasia since before the written word in Japan.

All you have to do is read some peer reviewed literature.
Japan was the LAST Eurasian country to get into common bathing.

➡️➡️ THE. LAST. ⬅️⬅️
You'd have to be ignorant as fuck, and then force yourself to STAY ignorant to think that humans haven't had bathing as we know it for literally thousands of years.

Jeebus, what a bunch of fuckin weebs.

Japan has some amazing cultural differences, and many beautifully unique traits to its cultural heritage.
This idiocy about baths just isn't one of them; Japan claims bathing is unique to the islands, but they also claim they didn't do anything wrong in Nanking, so I'd call the source a bit unreliable to say the least.

Y'all sound ignorant af.

And, instead of blasting me back, consider reading.
Like an actual book.
