Page 28 is neat with the use of the SFX, but this chapters feels like is building fake tension...the author wouldnt kill the protagonist at chapter 6, not for a story like this.
We really shouldn't forget that he brainwashed her either.

And where did it state that was a lover relationship? She literally call her sister in some panels, lady in others. You knowthere are more types of relationships than "lovers", right? Teacher and student aka master and apprentice are also a relationship. A master gift their students items all the time and we've see no other evidence showing they have any kind og intimate relationship. We have seen one speak to the other the way a teacher would a student.
