for those saying they don't understand why he didn't want her in the orphanage, try to see it from his perspective by looking at it this way.
Imagine, as an elf queen, she was fat and ugly and had warts all over her face. So what you might say? Well, this elf queen is bent on vengeance against an entire kingdom, so much so that she's willing to give up her virginity just to obtain the revealed power of the orphanage manager.
In other words, inviting her to the orphanage means inviting a potential war against a kingdom.
Now do you kind of see his point of view? He's not attracted to her so she might as well be ugly in his eyes, and not only that, she is potentially risking the lives of not only him, but of all the other future tenants of the orphanage.
