Okay. I hated Bleach. Too many useless, empty chapters of opponents screaming at each other while they powered up.

Which would lead to 20 to 30 chapters of this type of dialog, ad nauseum. They don't even fight between power ups, they just stand there and scream.

So a singular individual (though there are some duplicates, apparently) is apparently a singular volume or a brain, of a plural of non-biological objects that has no brain. Hope that helped.
