This is interesting but the pacing and lack of solid worldbuilding is kinda throwing me for a loop. Like, he said that he had to hold onto her hand for five minutes to change her profession text, but then earlier said that he can only change one character at a time, so does it change on cooldown? Or does this mean he could change something partially then leave it alone even if it’s nonsensical?
What about the values WITHIN the definition i.e. “Enhance: makes 2x as strong” -> “Enhance: makes 5x as strong.” Plus, does the amount of text he changes correspond to how much SP is used and/or, does a change have a certain ‘value’ to it that affects SP? For instance, when he changed the rock’s damage from 1 to 9, it looked like that had an SP cost of 2. If he changed it to a number that took two characters, would it only take 4 SP then or does that scale? Not to mention, in Japanese both 100 and 1000 can be written with a single character, does it only cost 2 SP because that’s changing a single character or does it cost way more because 100 and 1000 are much larger numbers?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m engaged with the story so far, but if engaging even a little makes all these problems pop up then it doesn’t bode well in the long term.
