This is good comedy. Man, that was unexpected. Jokes make you laugh by being absurd and unexpected, so this fits the bill imo.

Granny breaking ties with the adventurer's guild over the disrespect shown to her student, even the exile of the adventurer and monetary compensation. All of that was fine.

The writing went off the rails when Aina offered to become a slave. Like, what?

a bit on slavery in general
besides forced slavery from raids the most common form of slaves were debt slaves people that lost their place in society because they couldnt pay the bills or sold themselves so they wouldn't have to pay their debts ( yes in certain times and certain places people willingly entered slavery to flee from something or someone)
a slave or servant that sold themself had a surprising amount rights left depending on the contract especially when the contract had a time limit

in the end that type of slavery was overall quite rare but was more like a bad job contract than subhuman type slavery
fyi maids and butlers from gb date back to the nobility buying up a ton of orphan(age)s and educating them before selling them as lifetime servants
how was that not slavery? especially since till well into the 19th century generally a maid or a butler needed the permission from their master to form a family not to mention that it was very common to order maids into the bedchamber

any kind of pre industrialisation type society is very dark and not only because they dont have lightbulbs

the strange thing is how two people force the debt of the organisation upon themselves when they had nothing to do with the incident

but well most slaves introduced in this manga are special ones that sold themselves or are specialy educated ones that become lifetime specialists type servants

and in this specific case while its called slavery its more like your usual modern day debt payment contract
the debtee will be controlled in his actions until the debt is payed and has to use a previously agreed upon number of actions or tasks to pay off a grand sum.

P.1
>What a terrible moon
What a splendid/brilliant moon
>I want to help him a bit because he is a nice guy and to show my gratitude
You're sure giving him a lot of support
Well, we came from the same hometown
>Is this really it?
Is that really all?
P.3
>I wish Hayato woke me up
They could've woken me up if Hayato was dropping by
P.4
>I don't like it one bit
It feels like I'm not welcome
>I think she can help me
Let's finish up what I'm here for
P.5
>Buy as much ore as I can, is this possible?
I want to sell all of these, is that possible?
P.8
>You made some really nice potions
These potions are pretty good for your first time
>What now?
Fuck off
P.9
>Please don't fight here
Can you please stop there...
>What's wrong with this lemon-head? He destroyed my potions, I'll beat the crap out of him.
I may not have accomplished much, but I was still a salaryman in my past life. Like I can stay silent after having my merchandise destroyed.
P.10
>"Red Front"
"Red Line"
P.12
>What happened since yesterday
Anyways, what's with all that earlier
P.13
>We don't want to cause any trouble for the Alchemy Guild
We have caused a lot of trouble for our benefactor from the Alchemist Guild
P.14
>Is this how you thank Aina for helping you?
Why don't you first thank Aina for helping you out!
>It's not his fault. Let me compensate you for the destroyed potions.
He is not at fault. I will take responsibility and make sure that you are properly compensated.
P.15
>What is the top of Purgil doing here?
What is the top of the Alchemist Guild doing here?
>Listen to me, you destroyed our product. I won't let it slide with just an apology.
So you're telling me that... After picking a fight with one of our members and destroying our products, did you really think I'd let it slide with just an apology...
>And after that I will listen to you!!
I have something to tell him!!
P.16
>Sorry, because of me, the potions were destroyed
>It's okay
Sorry, the potions we worked hard to make... They were destroyed.
>Don't be sad
What's with that pathetic face
>It wasn't your fault; but theirs; But I was part of it; Enough, you shouldn't blame yourself
It wasn't your fault. But they've sure done it. They've made a fool of our new member, so I'll be sure to make them face the consequences.
>Also, it's not you, but them who should be tearing their hair right now.
I'll make sure to rip off every last penny in your place.
>Don't be sad, easier said than done
What an evil face
P.18
>I'll not tolerate such an act!
You all have lost the trust of the Alchemy Guild!
>There was a letter of introduction from Hayato
This person was introduced to us by Hayato
P.19
>Is that the Hayato I know?
Even his nickname is suave...
P.20
>Did you say a number with one digit?
The amount is off by one digit
>Why should we pay such an exorbitant amount of money
That's unreasonable, there's no way we can pay...
P.21
>You should listen to what he's saying
You should also listen to our side of the argument!
>Oh, you're saying that you will pay?
That's weird, I remember hearing you say that you will "take responsibility and make sure he is properly compensated".

Of all the stupid isekai slave setups, this is the absolute most nonsensical one I've ever seen. I just want to know how the author wrote it, the artist didn't question it, and the editor approved it. And at no point was anyone like "This doesn't make any fucking sense at all"? This is even dumber than all those "taking on the debt of my parents who disappeared" crazy story setups. Like, I don't mind reading some trash isekai nonsense, but this practically broke my brain trying to figure out how they are trying to make this setup make any sense.
