Why did the dude even build such a tiny bath when there are so many people present? Maybe eating too much natto has made him lose sense of the big picture.

Going back and looking, he was building a bath house to begin with. But I suspect that the hot spring changed everything.

Thing is, water has an absolutely absurd capacity for thermal energy. It needs so much energy to be heated up to that point that some houses in Japan have dedicated water heaters just for the tub. I think that MC was building the bath with the idea in mind that it would only be practical to heat up x-amount of water at a time because of how much fuel the boiler would need.

But now? Now they have a hot spring and, like I said before, that changes everything. You now have a practically unlimited supply of hot water just coming up out of the ground, ready to go at all times, and with no further investment of energy in the form of fuel. Which, in turn, means anyone can take a bath whenever they want.

So now he needs to make the tub A LOT bigger.

He should probably just make a whole new partition to the bath house with a much larger tub for the ladies. The men here seem to be in the minority.

I'm somewhat surprised he didn't just start digging from the beginning, with the full expectation that he will find a hot spring. After all, pretty much everything in the series is going his way, so why not that? Alternatively he could have just chosen a random hill and after digging two meters he would have found as much coal as he could ever need for heating water.

I dropped the series back then due to the bad TL. It was difficult to understand, what even was going on. Should you redo them with this current quality => Back to enjoying the series. I hope you find the time and motivation to do this.

Tbf unless there was cleansing magic in this series earlier i'd assume ppl would wanna clean themselves, tho i wonder if just the heat is enough versus needing soap lol tho i'm sure there'd at least be soap in this world considering adventurers probably need to wash/clean off blood as opposed to buying new clothes each time
