I... I really don't feel like it's that big of a deal.... This feels like literally crying over spilt milk...
The way I see it, he's had to lie about who he was his entire life. He's a person from a different world that has his own experiences and trauma, but couldn't show who he was because of the problems that would bring him. He's downplayed his inventions and thoughts to avoid being used and abused by the world. He's essentially had to play a role in the theater of this world for 14 years. There's a lot of stress that would build up because of that. And even if he's an adult in mind, he's got a kids body. And finally there's someone he can be open about. Someone that cares for him and paid enough attention him where they realized that he was hiding something. Finally being able to be open about who he is must be scary, but relieving at the same time.

I still wouldn't bother telling about it. Although she seems like an ok person... she is a noble. Typically they will only care for their own benefit. If in another manga... he will surely regret his actions.

Planned obsolescence in a magical world. Bloody hell. And it's being treated like it's a good thing.

To be fair they're not treating it as inherently a good thing, morally speaking, they're being pragmatic about it, that if they make the infinite use crystal they'll get less funds

Like, that's literally how life goes, they're not trying to change the world or anything, they're simply doing what they want and what benefits them

Classic protagonist centered morality

Also, most isekais are inherently self centered and doing stuff for the protagonist convenience, not necessarily about making the world and people lived better, it's arguably one reason you never see them trying to end slavery for example

Might be partially cultural differences too, Japanese focus on social harmony, they don't want to shake the boat, so they simply accept things how they are

Over and over I find myself unable to sympathize with the MC.

He blushes at light flirting, I clap back with the same energy. He frees his slaves at the 3 year mark, I’d only give them proper wages at 10 years and freedom at 20. He cries over finally sharing his secret, I’d barely care about it. I agree with a lot of the logic, but none of his emotions match mine. He feels like he actually is a 12 year old instead of someone who died at 25+ and then lived an extra 12 years after reincarnating.
