You have to realize one thing.
MC is not annoyed because Lacra is barely competent. He couldn't give less puck. It's her business.
What he really is pissed at her for is her giving him that mad unresolved boner when she tried to seduce him for the information in chap 16. That managed to hurt him where he was weak at.
