From what I gather, he's someone who understands ruthlessness and when it's needed but he's also too kind for his own good. Basically the kind of person that adopts the role of the villain so the peaople around him and those he cares about doesn't have to, as was the case in this chapter.

Honestly it was a little unclear for me, too. It's not apparent whether he was actually pissed and just holding it in, or if he himself is confused about his own actions, or if he's in denial, or what. Maybe there will be more insight into his thoughts in Ch8, I cleaned it but haven't actually looked at any of the text yet.

I think this is vital to understand the prologue, like how he got the beastgirls harem and a lot are high as hell on aphordisiacs/drugs, he knew what he was doing when doing the insecticide that's the equivalent a chemical weapon for us, and yeah that was the intended use and Savanah words, that humans keep thinking superior...well seems that how he build his petting zoo harem too
