I really like this one.
I think I just like the idea of someone using creativity and intelligence to target people that are seemingly untouchable. It's what drew me into similar manga like Talentless Nana as well.
I can't say I have any problems with how it was written since most of the time I can excuse a lack of personality/depth if the circumstances they're in and the powers they have are done with enough creativity—I like that there's a yakuza member that can sense hostility, it makes attacking him virtually impossible. I like that there's a cult member with psychokinesis but tricks people into thinking she's got 1001 more abilities, it makes her feel untouchable. The others... they're fine. But the takeaway is that even though these characters aren't very deep, they're still fun.
But above all else, I like that the MC is clever about it. Although being given a manual that details everything about them all feels a little cheap since there's no hard work that goes into finding these character's weaknesses which cuts away all the potential for character development. But again, I can excuse that.
Although while we're talking about it, Yui-chan's (Zombie Girl) arc is probably my least favorite since they've done away with any clever response to her powers, and are kinda just... Brute forcing it? Like, I understand the need for a direct battle against Mirumiru and Shirushiru (the Twin Devil Towers "resonance" girls) since they needed to be separated above all else. But here, it doesn't feel like the most optimal solution. Especially since MC knows she is an extreme hazard but does nothing to prevent her from using her power? If I knew what she does, then prevention is Plan A, and minimizing/surviving the fallout is Plan B—but they seem to ignore her until it becomes a "Plan B" situation.
I can sense a decline in story for sure, but only if it continues in the direction it's going. Otherwise, I'm excited to see what comes next.
Solid 7.5/10, worth the read if you like this kind of thing.
