I think that is the case or something similar as the demon lord only kidnaps men. The sad thing is that the hero is still in a place where no woman genuinely loves him.

I don't think so, when they defeat the demon king and the charm wears off I believe the wives would still want to be with Yuuto instead of their husbands. After journeying together and all the fun they had they won't leave him plus he gives them more satisfaction then their husbands.
