Just binged this whole thing. In general I like it but honestly I have some mixed feelings. I understand the narrative point of a character like his childhood friend which feels more like collateral for all the early misery porn but the outcome could've been avoided even if he decided to part ways with her for whatever reason. It just feels really sad that someone that was with him right after his parents died turned out that bad. That family treated him well compared to his actual relatives and he didn't really try to help the girl actively unlike basically anyone else he meet. I'm pretty sure a lot could've been avoided with a simple display of power. Sure I read all the thread spoilers and all that, but I still feel like that was the weakest point of the narrative so far.
