Usually the isekai trope (tho i guess this is a bit diff from the average isekai) is the overworked office user trying to get away from it lol (although i'd think being an adventurer and hunting monsters would be even 'worse' than some naggy boss versus the other slice of life stuff where they also cook as a hobby/bring some of their cuisine to it)

They're usually followed with op abilities, so it's like "do you want to work hard or not?", haha! 😆 .

Also, this one isn't really about adventurer, but I like that the former traveling merchant in Ascendance of a Bookworm stop

the protagonist's friend from trying to become a traveling merchant despite how freeing the idea can sound, exactly because it's worse than what he already has.

While MC's friend is somewhat poor, he still has citizenship, which means he can stay in a city for a long period of time, secured from outside threat, and always has a reliable source of clean water, something a traveling merchant need to worry constantly for their survival.

The guy even emphasizes that citizenship is so important, all traveling merchants place owning one as their objective.
