Maybe my memory is shoddy, but I feel like Gen leans more into interpersonal development on the side of the Earth group. Not necessarily better or worse, but it keeps the series fresh next to Nobu.
When you sit at the corner thinking what you do is just typing letters and inputting numbers all day everyday, you book a ride to depresso express. Given how strict Japan culture is, I imagine what she feels.
Especially when you know there a whole unexplored world right outside your dad's shop.
Hey don't be like that, the girl just takes after the parents a lot lol
In fact, if not for the fox she would jump her chance into another world (regardless her plan is half-assed or not). Reckless? Totally yes; But i can say for sure by no means she's spoiled
Was it the Tengu who granted the other guy through the door? (The one who is making the soy sauce and the one currently a Grandpa-to-be)?
Because it seems the Tengu didn't care the guy started a family in the other world, the inari seem more responsible in that regard.
It is more like the Tengu wanted him to start a new family in other world.
With Nanami here the situation is very different. The other guy had a plan and was working to open his own soy sauce business in the other world. Nanami didn't have any plan at all and was just throwing a tantrum.
How is she spoiled? She is just in a slump. Did you ever go to grad school? As someone was in grad school, I sympathize with her a lot. Graduate school is incredibly stressful. It damages mental health. She has to live alone in a stressful environment. It is no wonder she slashed out. Grad school can make you questioning your life and choices.
When I was in grad school, there were many times I just wanted to quit and stopped caring about my future. I got my degree but it came at a cost. My OCD and anxiety became worse to the point I had to get some medication.
