She is a female knight. She dresses like man for obvious reasons. She can't fight in a dress.
It is impossible to tell all people. If some outsiders saw her in male attire, not knowing she is female, started spreading rumors, it would stain the convent 's reputation along with the nuns'. Even if they tried to correct the rumors, the stain would be there forever. It is best to avoid it in the first place.
