Not sure about the use of "frite" in page 15. First because they're in !proto-Germany, !France is one of the spinoffs, and also where the spy comes from.

Second because I'm French, and frite, used as a noun, always means French fry. For other fried food, it's used as an adjective.

I think that was the point - she was comparing the skewers to frites/fries (which are popular in Oilia - lmao Oil), but instead of deep-fried julienne'd potatoes, they're, well, other ingredients.

I'm assuming the reason she knows about the popularity of frites there is because she was a mercenary, and had probably worked for/in Oilia before
