It’s nice trying to clean up the power scaling to still give something a threat to MC but what level was the leader of Yamato at then? I think it would’ve been better to work with belief systems or concepts as a power system the gods can draw on rather than leaving it at pure strength. It’s gonna be hard to justify any form of powerscaling since MC is so busted and it doesn’t even seem like he’ll need to get stronger for the foreseeable future.

Not really. That's more of a modern, Christianized thing that equates Hades with Satan; in the original myths, he was pretty chill and almost totally uninvolved with the surface world and the other gods, preferring to focus on ruling the underworld and keeping everything running smoothly.
