I'll be honest, I can barely understand what's going on. Somehow I used to think LH was a fairly decent scan group, but in recent times I've been noticing huge variations in the quality of their releases. I don't know if that's something funky going on on their end of things, or if it's just me noticing things more now that I have more years of manga reading under my belt, but either way it's a bit frustrating to see their name on so many things without the happy feelings of assurance I used to have regarding their releases.
You're mistaken--just as I was. Over time, I realized that LH--in the way of groups like Galaxy Degen Scans--is about
quantity over quality; and by "quantity", I mean
profit. LH snatches up many manga titles--the modus operandi that many here should be familiar with--even to a number anyone could tell it can't actually handle (that's only one way to interpret LH's constant solicitations at the end of each chapter it releases). And just like those other groups, either all LH's works' quality declines or some of them fall by the wayside, depending on who's paying for what in the group's Patreon or Discord hives.
The only thing that remains constant are the sporadic releases, the projects being dropped for months without a word only to be resumed once "competition" appears, and watermarking of panels with text or logos (which LH has taken to doing recently) as if bastardizing the art will bring in more Patreon bux. Oh, and--of course--the solicitations for more funding.
I'm all for gentlemanly conduct, don't mistake me--but Chiyo came rushing for a glomp in human form, nude as she knew she'd be, with all enthusiasm. He should have kept his mouth that widely open and fit as much of that votive offering in as he could--he'd kept her waiting, after all.
