Many users are dissapointed in they returning with the clothes perfectly fine, magi world, not surprising if they can cast repair magic.
I would say that people in the modern world being pissed at the 2 MC being together is weirder, they dissapeared together for a year, most would think they had eloped for a while, returned and are a couple, of course is possible the kids at school have no idea of that.
