Lol, no there is no evidence of that at all, just some people speculating that the princess cursed him when she sent him back because he didn't want to stay with her. And I agree, she would not do anything of the sort to him, especially after what we saw within the last few chapters where she showed up. She cared about him and believed in him, even if he wanted to go home and not stay with her, she didn't seem like the sort to be that mean to put a curse on him.

As for the friend...she seemed meh from the jump anyway. She definitely seems like a social climber, but you would think she would feel at least a little loyalty to a friend she has had for a long time, but oh well.

As for his age...I would imagine that plays a huge role in the way he treats all of his peers that are the same age as him. He just seems so uninterested in anyone that is his age, including the friend, which is why it is hilarious that he saw her and that guy together and was just happy they were watching his videos. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to her because she is his "friend" but he doesn't seem to care she isn't around him.

You could even depend solely on GPT for the translation too, and adjust it on the go, it helps that it can understand context and past translations. So, I would recommend to only use google translate to get a transcription of the text bubbles (if that's what you're using), and then send the text to chatGPT with a few prompts so it gives you a pretty nice translation.

I just meant to say you would benefit from a quality checker (QC), or at least a proof reader, to naturalize the text bubbles a bit, but chatGPT can do both jobs for you at a proficient level, which is quite great. You can also provide it with instructions in your native tongue, and to output the translation, QC and proof reading in English (be it British, Irish, American, or even weirder variations). It's an excellent tool, and I am honestly quite surprised no one is using it yet to do translations. Hell, I even took the untranslated light novels of Ascension of a Bookworm and it translated them really well despite my shoddy job at providing it with instructions/prompts.
You can essentially get a translation that is even better than an official one if you choose your prompts wisely, and at a fraction of the time it can take a run of the mill legal, paid translator. It's that crazy... (and before anyone jumps at my throat, official translations are low quality for the most part, since they hire translators for chump change, or they are riddled with political, ideological, or other kind of propaganda, since around 2018, which makes them inaccurate to say the least)
