Is this the way for the author to sort of nerf the MC with the magic sealing bit or just another way to showcase MC's other power? I hope it's the latter and not the other just to make him struggle later on.

Are they really going to try to make us feel sorry for both this god that eats children and the people who've been feeding him children?

The melodrama against the OP MC who didn't care much about the backstories. 😂

I like how the running gag of this manga is the fact that side characters LOVE to drop lore bombs everywhere but the MC just wants to get shit done and go home.
it's one of the saving graces of this manga. But honestly, him not beating the shit out of that cocky Angel is beyond repair for me, it makes no sense at all even as an excuse to get things running.

The plot of this manga is seriously weird in that it keeps introducing characters in an extremely bad light (they all quite literally tried to kill the MC), only for the story to immediately pivot into plot points whose main goal is making us feel bad for those same characters.

Characters that, at this point, have done nothing but rack up negative points.

Like, holy shit, at the very least give us some NEUTRAL interactions between these characters and the MC before throwing them into a tragic situation, or give readers something to work with so we can at least say, "Hey, they're not that bad, help them, MC." But that's not the case here as every single interaction they've had with the MC so far has been hostile.

Like, I haven't read a single spoiler in any of the threads, but if the next chapter turns out to be some sob story about the mother, my whole reaction is going to be:

Same feeling I had. Except for the aliens and (maybe) the police officers who are actually (trying) to do their job for once, everyone else seems like the kind of scum nobody would miss if they were gone.

I think this manga may be trying to introduce the whole pool of characters and then develop them later. One prime example that comes to mind (and actually the only one that I could recall at the time of writing) is Jitsu wa Watashi Wa, which also works kind of the same, trying to introduce characters very fast in the first few chapters and only later expand upon them.

So far, I don't think they did a good job of that though. Unlike the other example, this one is moving very fast not only the character introductions but also the plot and even the places, it feels like trying to look left and right at the same time.
