I imagine her ears can be pressed back against her head fairly comfortably since they are already angled backwards. The painful thing would be folding them forward.

Unemployed guy suddenly gets a hot exotic gf, a nice big house and some starting funds. Peak wish fulfillment right here. I hope this doesn't get wasted on the protagonist suddenly waffling on about how he's unworthy or he can't handle girls or some crap like that.

I see we're going through the isekai staple tropes like amazement at baths and curry, but the thing is: they're on Earth. So it's actually normal here. It's not anachronistic or out of place for once. His flustered moments with her got me concerned, but that bedside talk was pretty wholesome and not annoying at all. He actually was able to sleep beside her normally, that's a good sign. He's an adult after all, not the typical high school teenager protagonist.

Now I'm hoping for this to be something like "Shin no Nakama ja Nai" slow life SoL romance (Urban Fantasy ver.), with two lovers who actually do love each other and can handle it like adults.

My theory about her feelings not being suppressed anymore is almost gone, stil not convinced, it could be that even if she is still connected to the world tree some of its effects on her are gone.
The story really pushes the wish fullfillment too much, MC is a unexperienced virgin that lost his job and in his worst moment, when contemplating death, a beautiful elf gets literally summoned in his arms and is his soul mate.
Wonder why he was so down when he talked about his past with the govenrment woman, is almost like he committed a crime, but is probably something stupid as not being good at his job and getting fired.
