Wives getting along despite one of them being cranky. Well, that's pregnancy for some women. Sometimes it's better to just ignore their mood swings.

If she feels up to it she can do whatever physical activity she wants. You only need to rest if you actually feel like you need to rest.

Just cursing as revenge for suspicion is a great way to incite wars.

Changing the worship of the Griffon to worship from fear is mostly just a PR issue. You just have to convince people that it's on their side, which helps since their king comes from there.

This is starting to sound like a real divine family tree.

Can't get away with trying to work...

Well the pantheon is very complicated and seems to include some levels of incesm, the king claims descendancy from gods, they are a conquering new power uniting the peninsula and with a major power enemy bordering them... Might as well call yourself Macedonia.

Someone is clearly trying to sow the seeds of war once more. I doubt it is any of the affected countries, but a bit further one that then will try to reap the weakened nations. Maybe the northern nation will come back for a rematch and then get invaded by one of their rivals, who is actually behind the curse. There was that foreshadowed witch, but I can't recall which country she belonged to.
Kurosaki Mari, who controlled Rozel kingdom to the north or either the mysterious voice she spoke with.
Gotta wonder how this will affect MC's blessing. If he's basically worshipped as the son of a god, I feel like that should boost him a bit
And then 30 000 odd years later "No, I am not a god, stop worshiping me! Why?, uhh it's a secret."

I would say this is quite a historically realistic use of faith and religion: gathering support, increasing morale, and justifying rule.
Though in this story it’s also to create a curse barrier. Definitely more useful to more people than the real world (which main benefit goes to the ruling class). :ROFLMAO:

the king is ready to say goodbye, he should wait for his grankid first at least :(

dammit MC you raised the flag
To be fair, father-in-law is right. Him remaining in the palace continues to supersede Almus' authority as king.

That being said, it's definitely a flag, similar to what happened to the side story in Chapter 48 of the Dibel strategist, Bernard, that lost his blessing the moment he stepped back from his position, and withered away.

It wouldn't be that strange if the culprit nation was hit themselves. If it helps them to reach their goal, that is, a situation where Rosice loses the trust of surrounding nations, they might deem it worth it. Not to mention, they might have purposefully overfilled granaries the previous year to alleviate the effect of the curse-affected harvest the next year. In the end, being struck by the curse is an easy alibi and definitely enough for a casus belli, as those tend to be rather flimsy anyway.

Unironically, that’s what Wikipedia says. Specifically, he’s the bit where he protects the crops, apparently.

Amused how the writer didn’t outright bring in Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva by name, because we basically have a quasi-Roman pantheon here.

Unless the author intends to show the change and absorption of the local deities into the Roman pantheon?

Well, beside his Background, they used Mars as a Whole. How he looks, that he was the God of War and Agriculture (Most soldiers were peasents). He was also the Father of Deimos(Terror) and Phobos(Fear) and his associated Traits were Strength and Courage.

As a sidenote: Mars Sacred Animal is the Griffon. Which is funny, since THAT wasnt even a thing in the Manga despite the connection.
