Kinda feels weird to just continuously see Almus wearing that shield like a tortoise shell all the time. I think they've only depicted him using it once so far.
@Kamelpov The Persians started using heavy cavalry (armored riders/steeds) around 500 BC. The Roman cataphract (heavy cavalry) was developed by Rome in response some hundred years later.
Ria would at least need to wear chaps otherwise her thighs are going to be rubbed raw... unless she developed calluses on her inner thighs.

I had forgotten this detail: "King Ferme's army receives support from the great Empire of Domorgar." It seems like quite an investment from Domorgar. I wonder if the story makes them regret it at some point, seeing how they lost the bet. With Ferme dead, nobody's going to pay them back anything.
