Went back to refresh my memory of something that I did generally remember. But it's good to refresh it for all the details.
The interaction with the Dark Elf (Test Subject) Subordinate is entertaining and all, but remember that she started off as collateral damage who died in chapter 4, was resurrected by him in chapter 4, was then tortured in chapter 5, had her brain rewired and carved out while awake to make her more capable in using magic in chapter 5 and then induced with amnesia forcefully in chapter 5.
Which also makes it kinda funny that he ponders if he's doing the right thing or not. Though I suppose in this context it's more of whether he should adhere to the strict guidelines that he has lived with up until now or to just let go and live more as he pleases. At least, moreso then he has already.
