go "read" chap 111 if they didn't remove it already, they are whining because basically nobody goes to their site to read and aren't getting donations eitherWhat just happened? Did the group remove their own chapters?

It tells you when someone isn't doing it for love but for profit, those kind of groups pick manga that is likely to be popular so they will get more readers and think that will also translate in more donations, compare that to groups scanlating some obscure manga with barely any audience but they still keep doing it without complaining or begging because they just want to share with others what they like, that's the true spirit of scanlation, to make something more accesible to the rest of the world.I do still stand by what I said in the deleted chapter. I still find it funny that they withheld uploads from MD for months and when they did a drop of chapters, they put in end cards complaining about how nobody's donating.
I'm sorry, but this is the wrong place to be taking that kind of stance. You want to tell folks here that funds are low and you need donations? No problem, plenty of groups do so here.
But putting it in an accusatory manner towards the audience you've chosen to withhold content from (and then getting upset when they complain back at you) is just tacky. Not to mention that apparently since they last uploaded, the donation methods they listed in the prior chapter don't sound like they're even usable anymore, so folks here wouldn't even have a way to donate.
I do appreciate the time, money, and effort that has gone into doing these scanlations, especially considering how there are official TLs that provide an easy enough excuse to call it quits, as many groups often do. But it doesn't change the fact that, for the better half of the year, this group chose to try and provoke funding by purposefully withholding their work from MD. It was an inherently antagonistic decision, and it's certainly not fair to say the MD audience can't be upset about that.
'you are just nobodies who want everything for free and yet complain' i think they completely misunderstand everything about why fan translations on manga exist...Here's their rant for those who missed it:
Geez, back in my days we just did it because we liked manga and wanted others to know more about it. Depending on the manga you work on you might even get death threats, just keep working on it if you like it, period.
Go and find an actual job, don't bother asking for donations.Go and Read From official Translators don't bother reading ours.
Their statement is extremely reasonable. I think half of the reader base are illiterate monkeys who can’t exercise basic comprehension. They’re upset about ingratitude, toxicity and complaining from people who have no moral rights to do so.Here's their rant for those who missed it:
