Trust me, in this case the NOVEL is slow as molasses. I've only read the webnovel, but unless the light novel version HEAVILY trims it, I'm pretty confident this manga adaptation outpaces it.
In the recent LN volumes the pacing improved a lot, mostly due to Roxanne rushing them. Like they've cleared around 25 floors in just the last 3 volumes, with their pace being one floor per day.
I disagree. Very little time has passed since the MC was isekaied and he already has two slaves, a place to live, and 3 full sets of armor and weapons. That's a lot of wealth for a teenager living in the world for... a month? And who lives a relatively honest life. He has a side business, but he also trains his own blacksmith and provides for two people.
Most of the locals who raid the dungeons probably do not care about conquering them. They live off the loot, and they're not burdened with providing for their party members.
Not to mention MC is taking the time to learn about the world and enjoy his harem, not spamming Durandal and aggressively climbing as fast as possible to be OP or a millionaire
I mean if ppl can openly own slaves and wear collars, within reason i'm surprised there aren't more ppl dragging their slaves in even skimpier outfits or making them act a certain way so but i'm sure Shirley would've warned him about stuff he couldn't do in public lol but the 'flirting' is pretty wholesome even if he's blocking other customers way versus just making out or so
At least he's not having sex in a carriage/ride like the MC from "Ataerareta Skill wo Tsukatte Kasei de Isekai Bijotachi to Ichaicha shitai" lol
I get what you're saying, but Michio is quite wealthy and leads an extremely comfortable lifestyle. Maybe it's an artifact of the glacial progress in the monthly releases or of the adaptation in general failing to convey it, but Michio almost always has a fat stash of cash just sitting around for whatever he's saving up for, in this case, "next slave-chan." It can FEEL like he's poor, but that's just because: a. he's a total miser (meaning he hates spending money unless he has to and absolutely loathes spending more than necessary when he does) and b. as I mentioned before he's always saving up for some kind of big purchase.
On the note of weapons, he's just extremely choosy because: 1. most weapons don't have slots, and 2. most weapons that do have slots don't have the maximum number of slots possible unless we're talking about the low-tier ones that can only have a single slot.
Lastly, his "slow" progress is more the fault of his extremely cautious and rather cowardly nature making him avoid any but the bare minimum of struggle/challenge.
Also, I'm not sure if it's been covered yet, but his pace is breakneck speed by this world's standards thanks to his cheats letting them level at insane speeds.
I think that about covers anything I have to add to what's already been said. Pardon me if I misremembered anything since it's been ages since I've refreshed on this series, manga, or novel(s).
Plus i imagine he might be 'holding back', even if there's confidentiality with Luke/his broker, if he spends too much at once that might raise some eyebrows/suspicions on him or so, but yeah it would be nice if we got like 20-30 page chapters per month or so instead of like 7-8 pages but i imagine it'd be easier if the shops were more 'video game-y' as opposed to just the merchant discount skill if not a more direct source to access crystals instead of using a middle man to 'bid' on them lol
If they're getting paid per chapter rather than per page i can imagine the mangaka/artist taking their time with this to get a decent paycheck tho i'm sure there'd be some ppl willing to pay them more for an update. tho im surprised there's not a second season yet
On that note, practically every dungeon dwelling work is guilty of one sin; It's always empty. If you live in a large town and its economy centers around a single dungeon, and a sizable part of the town are explorers, why is the mc strolling through practically empty corridors? Like here, but perhaps the worst offender is DanMachi...
Not really.
A. The dungeons out in the sticks are empty, but that's the reason why the elf lord asked Michio to raid them, to increase a traffic.
B. Michio, being all paranoid, doesn't want anyone see him using magic so he is opting for less crowded parts of the dungeon(s).
C. Remember the dungeon in the middle of city? Michio&Co had to stand in freaking line to get in the boss room.
True for food and lodging. Not so much for everything else. Let's take equipment, for example. First line fighters like swordsmen or melee fighters will take a lot more damage to their equipment than the support team members or mages. The same goes for less experienced fighters. Or how about the extra costs that come with upgrading professions, such as the blacksmiths? Or what about some party members getting sick and some not?
What I want to say is that if you own a party, you also own everyone's wildly unequal expenses, whereas in a normal party, everyone would be looking out for themselves.
A slave party owner pays the same amount as a classic party members would pay combined, I agree, BUT I think that a slave owner pays far more per party member than the average healthy and experienced fighter pays for himself.
...now compare that to average Joe that needs close to twice as many members on the party and may die to a low value boss, not long ago we saw a wipe from a team that was relatively well equipped.
I think they were either overconfident or in training. They didn't look like humble loot sellers. Maybe they even took loans to buy equipment. We know from the chapter 89 that it's possible to buy a safe entry to whatever explored floor there is, from someone who already visited it. There is no need to go trough every boss if your goal is to farm and sell some specific loot. Adventurers can farm loot relatively safely without fighting the bosses.

Yeah we’ll have to wait until something in the plot “rushes” them again like mc having to kill the bandits to afford buying Roxanne at the start
Tho shame this isn’t a playable game, other than the sex stuff being extra programming or so, ppl did say they were interested in the class system, idk if any existing MMOs would exist with any similarities bc im not a huge gamer but something like this with the final fantasy style might be fun
