Rather cheap in exchange for one's life... please remove that hanging cord part in the poster at least... DX

Maybe the old shopkeeper wasn't exactly going senile but under the lingering memory effect of the artifact or something? (Since that was a baseball bat.)
Also, the cat girl said that mashed potatoes were spicy because of her cat part didn't get along well with chocolate?

contrary to hollywood belief... TNT and plastic explosives are extremely stable to the point of almost being inert (TNT is used on the stielhandgranate),it's insensitive to shock, impact and heat, you can set it on fire and nothing will happen
This. Thank you.
Hanging it from the "hanging cord" and accidentally falling next to it and pulling the "mace" as you go down and therefore pulling the "hanging cord" however...

Yes, if they weren't really, REALLY stable, they wouldn't be used by anyone other than specialist troops.

Edit: That said, expired/old FUZES are REALLY FUCKING DANGEROUS! That's often why old UXO (unexploded ordnance) finds are considered so dangerous.

Dwarf: Uses grenade as a hammer.
Me: Flashbacks of my fellow soldiers screaming, watching Private Bueller getting blown before we even reached our destination, garand pings and the call of the potato masher.

I'm surprise that grenade didn't go off when she smashed it against the nail
Funny thing about explosives: most of them don't explode by just hitting them, but require a detonator to be activated, in this case the cord of the grenade.

Also extra nerd tip, that type of grenade was nicknamed the potato masher, hence that small text at the end of the chapter
