And once again the "All Japanese vampires are daywalkers" trope strikes.

Technically, all vampires are "day walkers" it's just that creator of Nosferatu movie to avoid being sued tried to be a little bit original, not enough to be sued and movie being recalled anyway.

So vampires being damaged by sunlight (which is stupid, moon reflect sunlight anyway) is movie fiction, not folklore.
