Can someone give me a brief explanation on whats happening on the human/beastmen/kingdom side of the story? I basically skipped till the parts with the MC :3
as far as I know the king is basically sacrificing beastman slaves so he and his lackeys can become immortal and sending all the curses to the forest (which have mostly been purified by MC).. and one of the main commanders deserted and helped the beastmen.

Iirc they're trying to take down the evil king, who has done a splendid job of making almost everyone in the kingdom want to kill him for one reason or another. And anyone who was loyal to him is now dead or too scared to go near him.

The freed beastmen in general I really hope can go back to their country, they've been harmed so terribly for so damn long.

And then there's...the king's incestuous daughter-wives who he's been abusing and also forcing into slavery this entire time. Not to mention all the masc family members he has murdered these several hundred years while in power.

Really just going to cheer when he dies, he really has done everything possible to be the worst and most violent ruler you could think of. Even in comparison to other villains.
