I'm hoping the hero survives, because while he is a little scummy, he wasn't bad enough to warrant death or demonification.
He just has a bad case of Main Character syndrome that is clashing with reality.

I've also noticed that we've gone far away from the initial hook of the series; how is the rest of the class doing? Are the girls alright? I do wish that the MC would atleast have a little morality and ensure that his classmates weren't treated like trash, like they were originally.

Given that the MC acknowledged that the Chancellor is trash in the last chapter, I wish he'd kill him already!
