I am internally still hoping that the modern world gets their shit together and escalated the conflict like they did in Gate or other such stories, since the enemies are not exactly human, I would not be surprised if bio chemical warfare or even the deployment of nukes were allowed by some governments, especially since the enemy is not following our ethos of war anyways.

It would make the story short, sure, but it's been a while since I saw the enemy being engulfed in utter despair, as their continental plate is lifted by 20 feet by a nuke larger and mightier than any other, build on modern understanding and design instead of the old 'cold war' warheads, and kills every single inhabitant as the plate collides with the ground again, and that all just to put the point across, that modern humans are not to be fucked with by some complacent evil god with his ugly orcs.

For those wondering what image I am having in my head as I wrote that, look into 'Cannikin Nuclear Test', there is a great video showing the ground lifted the way I described.

If the "no nonsense" tactical combat and realistic hero is what I like about this...
...the JP trope of "villain teleports away with no repercussions (so author can recycle villain)" is what I don't like.
There needs to be costs associated with engagements and withdrawals in combat.

Planning effort, time, resources are costly. To see zero repercussions from this is as bad as "it was all a dream" trope.
Like healing. Hero side needs a dedicated elven princess and representative of god. Villain, a simple priest can do same.
(And both have "holy weapons", in fact 2 vs 1. So if there is a power imbalance that needs to be explained. Or cost shown.)

If this was intended as a strike mission, there needs to be repercussions for the enemy for losing a general.
And/or a strategic hardpoint, and/or the evil artifact itself. There needs to be consequences.

But that's just my opinion. Really glad this arc was translated at once, props for that. I think there are 44ch in raw.
so im not the only one who was thinking thia ia poorly written.

Thank you for the mass release!! I love you!
It's such a shame that Milim most likely won't join Makoto's party. She's hot, but she is hell-bent on doing evil stuff. Makoto should just go for the kill the next time he meet her.

I feel like I'm the odd one out for feeling the cringe on some of the cheesy lines xD

Thanks for the mass release! That family of powerful warriors has some issues to work out.

Huh, so there'll be a rematch with Milim back on Earth. I hope this doesn't turn into "she's the penultimate boss" type of thing. I feel like I've already had my fill of these misguided/gaslit/brainwashed villains from anime in the 90s and early 2000s.

I think I'm gonna miss Wulf while he's gone. But it's kinda a disservice to him that he's not there when they deal with his sister on Earth.
