considering it’s not a “crime” to abandon kids at a slum (assuming the older kids parents did that or so versus also being poor and dying) I think them being closer to 15 would be considered “adults”
In their world /allowed to do things at a certain age versus MC if not her being guarded/escorted and still summoning useful stuff for their “adventures”

Bread made with whole wheat flour cheaper since the process of making the flour is not as Labour intence as what is regular flour today.

In medieval period pork, chicken, beef is expensive because they spoil quickly so they often just make them jerky but even jerky is expensive so people in slums made an alternative. They catch field mouse's and make their meat into jerky instead and sell it for cheaper.

No, i meant like, a living 'pet' chicken to harvest eggs from to sell/make omelettes/etc and such i've been playing too many farming sims lol (unless cockatrices/orcs live in this world and ppl are eating 'monster meat' as well since 'field mice' are able to be bought or so lol)

lol well as a child she still would be instinctual and still malnourished as a status , but even with “modern knowledge” most reincarnators tend to not have been successful

Maybe there's a huge diff between even 'normal' citizens and slum ppl but for a general store, maybe they had it set aside as a luxury for noble customers that show up once every other month as opposed to ppl that'd visit weekly lol (or maybe we'll get a twist that they were already rich nobles to begin with but 'settled down' to do a normal shop but still have a lot of savings/money on hand , if not just knowing their situation and giving them more money than they would've for a normal person bringing in honey
