24 chapters in and this so far is genuinely good. Not great, but notably better than the average isekai. No idea why it's rated so low. Also color me surprised that the author of Shield Hero managed to put out something decent, even if people are rating it way lower than that garbage.

I'm reading the novel, I usually avoid doing that because the translation effort is usually a hassle. (Also there's 400 chapters there and I'm still about halfway there)

The novel also have lots of details that was skipped in the manga.

Uhh... what was the point I was trying to make again? I forgot... anyway...

From what I can tell... 4 novel chapters is roughly 1 chapter in the manga... meaning that there's about 40 more manga chapters of content to be... (The novel is currently on hiatus from what I can see)

Sooo... The MC refuses to fight in the kingdom's war, so he joins the army? And as a soldier, his job is to tootle around doing low-end adventurer quests?

I'm also amused that the other two dorks get to work as adventurers without even the required army service.

I used a tool/AI to translate, I couldn't find any translations, so I went straight for the source.

The story is currently on hiatus (but I read on the author's blog that they're still working on it)
