A few chapters ago Philline mentioned that her cousin Louise (Luriese because translator can't stick to a name) had silver hair/fur like Brut, and the seal confirmed they were related.

The whole class was wiped out off-screen, I guess it means that the other guy will be next and the MC will be the only survivor.

The t/n on that chapter did explain that they based the rank on western military and they would readjust to make it fits more.
Honestly, corporal sounds better than private anyway, what kind of private owned an organic mecha dragon?
