Ah, the epic tale about how "local villager" Garf went out to town, with a handful of pocket money and a twig, handed to him by the village chief, Village Chief. Retold later as the day Sword King Garf wandered into town, with a ton of cash, and did a clean sweep of the annual sword tournament with a wooden practice sword.

Is there any competition the spooders or doggos won't always win?

From the image on page 3, the cushions on top seem to be farther to the left by a quarter of the width of a pillar.

On page 4 the pillars aren't diagonal to each other anymore, but in line.

Poor preggo woman, don't get to party with the rest of them.

Every time, I have hope that the chapter won't just be a dry logbook where each character gets one reactionary line. And every time I am disappointed.
This is chapter 238, and it's been like that for pretty much all of it. How endless is your hope?

It's infrequent and quick enough that I still read it. It was a bit better in the beginning. Actually, I saw the anime first and it handled things a bit better; thought I'd read the manga to see where it goes. And there's very little in the way of interesting development, unfortunately. But it can go on for hundreds of chapters simply through breadth rather than depth of content.

Woo! Go Team Kuro!

See, thata the problem there. The anime was trash that tried turning the story into every generic isekai with over the top action scenes. I suggest you stop reading the manga if that's what you're here for. The manga is a slice of life that's ACTUALLY a slice of life. Super comfy

Coming as a surprise to nobody the finals of the tournament would be decided between the Zabutons and the Kuros.
I'm sick of them, honestly. I adore - ADORE - sentient / sapient, giant spiders, but it's been predictably boring for ages that the animals are hax that outperform literally everything else in existence.

I know this series is reaaaally slow and I've been reading since about a year after LH started scanlating it, but man it feels like a bit of a drag sometimes. I really don't think we needed so many chapters for this jenga-like game (I forgot the name).
I feel it logs some things way too frequently and many times it doesn't have the "heartwarming" factor that helps other slice-of-life-without-a-clear-story mangas.

Looks like we're getting closer to Village Chief opening his shop in the town!
