For this manga, I usually let the backlog accumulate for a month or two, and it still feels short...
Its my belief that the chapters are chopped to be released for a weekly schedule while they are actually made for a different schedule, just look how chapters 285-289 end and start abruptly, they feel like a singular chapter.

That's why it think you feel like you aren't reading many chapters after a month, because you are actually reading just 1 chapter and/or a part of another.

I mean, I understand how these releases work in Japan. I'm just saying that even then, they feel pathetically short.

I reckon it's a combination of what you said, and the way the story is written, where it's less a story and more a log of events.

Conclusion: I just hate slice of life stories where it feels like there's no progress, even when things are happening.

Not sure if I noticed this before while reading, but when I saw the centaurs in the anime, I noticed how off their proportions were and was reminded again while reading this chapter. It just seems like the human halves are too small. The horse bodies seem to be about normal sized for a horse, but the human bodies are still normal human sized, instead of scaled up in size to match the larger horse body. :thonk:

So he build a fancy and overly complicated Chuckwagon. I feel it would have better to have the sides lift up to make the roof and and a retractable step platform that can be stowed under the carriage instead of that swing out design but I guess that would be less fanciful and more practical. This way you can also put a rack on top for more storage capacity like where you could stow the Canopy Tents. Also remove the seating in the back so you could strap water barrels back there. Or do a pop out design where side expands outward then you have the support blocks for when it's fully extended. This way everything would be contained inside the cabin and not exposed the to elements. The design in the manga is only good when the weather is nice but when the weather is bad it would suck working in that mobile kitchen and pantry

We have to remember that the fact MC was bedridden before he gets reincarnated and his only informations were from television in the hospital ward. So, for now, it's prototyping every ideas he could come up with. It's better than suddenly knowing everything via floating screen or game menus. Like the episode 2 of S2, we discover that he didn't know about the seeding cycle since he had used the almighty tool and admired the farming knowledge from that minotaur.

One manga chapter feels like 1/3 of a normal chapter in the WN/LN chapter
And the translation group is not really fast too which is understandable.
