Replied it on a different comment, but not sure you will see it, name is first mentioned when they present him in chapter 70! :D
thanks man
So they are probably referring to This article on ANN that says: "When we were deciding on direction with this series with the director, in the original source material, the harem aspect with the girls was strongly pushed in the manga. In the anime, we decided that we should try to pull back from the harem aspect and focus on the slow life aspect of the series so we can make it a more easy-to-watch experience."
Except they covered things from before chapter 70, as it was just pointed out to me, all the way past current chapters in the 310s. The anime just speedran the fuck out of the source material, not leaving any semblance of the slow life idea. Honestly just a horribly unfaithful adaptation all around.

Trouble is, mind you, there’s several demon kingdoms. Since we don’t know which kingdom this “Gargard” lords over, i’m not sure destroying the sword is the best idea….Urza may need it 10 yrs down or something…
I think it's safe to say it's this Demon Kingdom, from what I remember, Demon King's wife is running the Gullgald Academy in the Royal Capital. So it's probable that one of them is how you spell the name of the kingdom.

Yeah its a shame cause season 1 was good even if it did skip around compared to the manga but season 2 has been horribly paced and just generally has skipped so much content that fits into the slow life aspect.

Season 1 only skipped around in content of about 50 or so chapters meanwhile season 2 we are just suddenly 250 chapters later for no reason.

The latest episode of the anime just ended on this chapter it caught up quick
Yeah, they skipped a ton of content in this 2nd season. Even his other kids being born are completely left out, and the whole Hakuren giving birth which is what brought all the dragons together in the first place, which is what actually caused the floating castle to come to the village, was left out as well. As popular as the anime is, I don't think they ever had any plans of continuing it after the 2nd season, with the sheer amount of content they skipped and how far they've diverged from the source.

Now that the "Evil God" is living the cat life, there's no need for anyone to kill anyone else, so keeping the sword around is just asking for trouble.
....wait? there was a cat? and it was the evil god? I'm thinking of a different series whichhas thaf but there was One here?

yes, Raigiel the black cat of Hikaru's. That's the god of magic/evil god, he corrupted the minds of the humans to go to war against the demon kingdom. He also turned Urbraza (The Hero Queen) into that undead who was protecting those black pillars which Hikaru turned into statures of gods, during the hot spring arc.

Anime skipped quite a few bit like Hakuren's pregnancy, the creation of catapult & the carriage. The spear throwing also been removed completely, I guess that made sense you don't wanna show kids training with weapons in a slice of life anime.
A few?? Brother, the anime skipped A LOT

I was waiting for the 2nd season, season 1 was alright, not bad, not good, just alright.
But season 2 is, uhh... I don't like the direction they choose by skipping a lot and focusing on monogamy

Pretty weird, I understand that MC reincarnation threw off the future that was predicted, makes you wonder what happened in the original planned timeline.
I think MC should have brought the Sun sword to that demon lord, but as another user said it feels like a self fulfilling profecy device, if a item exists to do a thing fate will change so that it will accomplish that.
The real problem is...if they could predict the future up to centuries in the future, how did they lose to demons, if who gave the sword was a angel of course.
This part of the Sun castle arc was nice aside the plot absurdity of no one between the demons discovering the door in centuries, is too stupid that they never explored the place, and after losing the village I imagine every container for water or potatoes would have been useful, so is just not believable that the pot stayed on the pillar, would have worked better if it was some other mechanism for opening it.

When I saw the sun castle in the latest episodes I was just confused why it appeared already. They skipped from the onsen trip straight to that. The explanation about the dragons was complete bullshit there as well since they skipped over Hakuren's pregnancy.
Anyway, that made me drop my opinion of season 2 drastically.

It's like they don't want to do S3 and had an excuse saying they have caught up with the source. I'm really disappointed with the production comittee of this anime series with their terrible planning.
