Well, it's interesting to actually see multiple receptionists work at the same time but i don't think she's some secret strong ex adventurer that'd come outta retirement to join him or so. If anything i'd half expect some of them to ask for souvenirs/good quality things for 'points' as opposed to paying money lol

Well, I for one am glad to admit I was wrong and that he was able to turn in the task properly. I guess he isn't just a hoarder after all.

I think he'd only hesitate if it was some one of a kind thing (in which case i think it'd be rare for a request as opposed to seeking some expert alchemist/adventurer to commission or so but i'm sure he's got plenty of 'duplicates', otherwise he'd just be walking to multiple forests and not bother joining the guild at all, versus needing pocket money to stay at the inn(s))

But a few probing questions should offer enough insight into a individuals personality to judge if they know what their doing or are just a blowhard.

Using literally doesn't really work. The original word used is 文字通り. Which can mean "literally" but can also just mean "to the full extent" or "exactly". So maybe the better translation would be:
"I'm glad it fully met your expectations"
Page 12:
The better the condition you collect in -> The better the condition the material is in
(the original phrasing "you" is the subject so it makes it sound like it's saying the better condition you are when you collect the items vs talking about the items condition themselves)

Only partially. He knew what the mint looked like and properly asked for a description and location of the one he didn't. Like I said after a brief conversation she could have properly judged his level of competency.

What she did was automatically assume he was a wet behind the ears newbie. Which if he was less of the typical Japanese protag, could of potentially offended someone with less intrest in being treated like trash.

i guess he would've drawn too much attention but should've flexed and turned in like 100 extras of stuff he had XD; but yeah i suppose it's probably better than them refusing to help at all although he does have a search/appraisal skill without needing a ref book though at least his appraisal skill lets him know the proper way to harvest it (though you'd think other than it being a 'test' to humble adventurers, ppl would advise on how to properly gather the honey)
