This is how they operate GDS.. They outsource manga to different TL teams, hoard chapters and then they make polls on their patreon and which ever manga wins, they release an update. If somebody snipes they aggressively release chapters on top of them.

They hoard chapter for months. Like this one for example, they are probably completely caught up, but won't release any of their chapters till they are either forced or paid.

That’s exactly what happens. Look at the comments for other series they are scanlating and you will see them doing mass releases when someone has sniped them because they weren’t releasing anything.
