but let's be real, a tsundere in real life would only hurting your feeling. . .

We can like them in a story because we know what they really feel, but if we don't their words is nothing but abuse.

I know it's for a joke's sake, but Tsunderes have been around for way longer than that, Madoka from Kimagure Orange Road was one of the first characters than popularized them, and it was the '80s. :(

Still, I get it, it's a joke, I just felt like throwing this out there in case someone's been wondering!

@RyoSaeba The term was popularized around 2004/2005, so Madoka, or Akane Tendou, were not Tsunderes strictly speaking. It's applying the term retroactively.

If you want to apply the term to characters that had tsundere qualities before that, you can go back as early as the 70s. Like Pipiko from "Triton of the Sea".

@Kirin-kun I mean, we could have the same argument about the term Isekai, they've been around for as long as I can remember before being widely considered as a standlone anime/manga sub genre, it's just that outside of the joke it doesn't feel very believable to me that Oji-san wouldn't have recognized such behaviour with stuff like KOR (or Ranma ½ since you talked about Akane) being super popular when he was a teenager.
Without dwelling too much on it, I'm pretty sure there may have been plenty of SEGA titles for MegaDrive/Saturn depicting similar characters, if we wanted to follow this manga logic, so it's even more unbelieveable to me... reading further it's obvious it's more of him being a super dense guy (or something else entirely we don't know yet) than the term not being popular in his teens, but yeah, it was a joke, I get that, it's just... it didn't feel very believable when I re-read the new HQ chapter.

both of them are unlucky with girls : previously , the nephew lived together with his girl-friend in the big room , then he kicked her out , lol .

some explaination for page 9 :
i guess that isekai only has pretty people with white skin and blonde hair or red hair , and the ugly uncle was probably the 1st human with yellow skin and dark black hair in that isekai .
in short , the people in that isekai are racists , lol .

also , there was the different-language barrier .

orcs and goblins have green skin , but that is enough to make humans hate them and kill them .

page 14 : a dragon burnt her clothes but couldnt burn her skin ?
and note the light-saber in his hand .

i guess in that isekai , humans and elf-s have different standards for beauty , or maybe different fetishes , lol , elf-s love fugly men/fugly orcs .

I'm already liking this a lot, especially some of the little details. Like in the last chapter how the memory erase spell was used twice before he asked about it, and going back to the first usage adds more depth to the situation.
Even page 1 of this chapter just casually has him flying instead of using the stairs without fully spelling it out, expecting the reader to be able to figure that out on their own. Really good visual storytelling there.

Edit: Thinking about it, the number 17 is probably going to become important in some way, or at least be considered magic. There's too many times it shows up for it not to stick out.

@SmallTinyNeedles I thought maybe Dragon Quest, but I couldn't find a box art that matches. VI is the closes, but that's the only one with the character riding a dragon. Maybe since he's a SEGA fan, it's referencing a SEGA game?
