Honestly, with the tone of the series, I wouldn't be surprised if it's casually revealed that he can open a portal to that world and back whenever he wants. He just wants to spend his time playing Sega games.

it would have to be at the end, yeah. it doesn't really work with the way the story is structured. the premise is "uncle telling stories" and jokes around that... having Sui, Mabel, and Alicia there would turn it in to a rom com instead. That's a very different story.

That's just the format though. There are plenty of romcom moments with them in the stories he's telling. I doubt it would go anywhere anyway, just like with the nephew. Well, they probably won't do it any time soon anyway.
