really acting like the other translation was so terrible you couldn't understand anything, eh...

looking at it objectively as possible, this group's work is definitely an improvement... though to be fair the original wasn't so bad that i immediately understood why the chapter got posted again, lol. it was... idk, kinda disjointed in places(?) but still readable enough to get the point across fairly painlessly, none of the usual hallmarks of a truly shitty translation like the utterly incomprehensible MTL garbage that only resembles english on the surface but fails to convey any intended meaning; i might've immediately noticed at the time just how "off" their work felt had i gone straight from this group's ch 66 to that group's 67, but since it'd been 2 months in between it seemed normal enough. bro is practically going insane with the magic (and everyone else is getting panicked as a result, or because of "modern technology") so slightly unclear wording didn't really strike me as being all that odd, but I can definitely see how it could throw any ESL readers for a loop & as a result the more considered and consistent phrasing this group uses goes from just "more pleasant to read" for me (a native english speaker) to probably way easier to parse for others, lol.
considering the recent MD drama & all the groups that bailed as a result, I'm still grateful to the other group for stepping up to fill the gap since I enjoy this series so much, but if this group is sticking around to provide such a smoother reading experience then i'm super grateful for it & people acting like the other group was Duwang-tier isn't gonna make me lose any sleep (even though it seems like a bit of an unfair exaggeration to act like it was that bad, imo...)

anyway, thanks for the chapter, guys! i'm glad you decided to stick around despite the site's BS.
hopefully nothing else will happen again to cause other groups to step in & result in more pointless bickering like this, lol
