How do you machine translate? Maybe I'll start translating something. That's too bad, hope someone picks this up
Seriously speaking, or joking? How do you machine translate? Maybe I'll start translating something.
It happens. Frankly, it's probably more common in real life than it is in fiction. Adrenaline is running high, you've just been in mortal danger, that person just did something really fucking badass... Yeah, there's a lot of good reasons to do something rash there. Also, these are teenagers, six will get you ten they'd wind up having sex with each other for much stupider reasons if this hadn't happened. You saved my life so lets have sex plot
I'm considering it. There are so many manga I can't finish because it's not translated. So I think I will do it myself. I also have to figure out how to get raws, proper file type, typesetting, etc. maybe even cleaning/redrawing if I decide to fully commit. But I want to at least translate the bubbles. Why drop before segs T_T

I found a program called ImageTrans that aggregates all the common translation tools with built in OCR, edit, spell check, textboxes, text removal (like the free floating text). Even has a chrome extension to pull raws directly from web into the program or to auto-translate on your browser for quick reading. Small paywall.Probably using Google Translate on your phone (or something similar), which can translate text in images. So you take a picture of the speech bubble, and it translates it. Depending on how thorough you wanna be, you can then copy that text out and use it on a better translating service like DeepL. If you compare Google Translate and DeepL's translations, along with your own comprehension of the scene and what's going on, you can probably figure out what it's trying to say and pick which one is best.
(I'm assuming anyways, I have to occasionally do something like that for my job so if there's a better/faster way than this I'd love to know it!)
I dont mind MTLs as long as they are sensibly translated and most importantly properly proofread. Nothing worse than a direct MTL copypaste to let everyone know how much of an intellectually-challenged peasant you are (like isekaiscan. Please for heaven’s sake don’t do an isekaiscan)I'm considering it. There are so many manga I can't finish because it's not translated. So I think I will do it myself. What are some good fonts?Just make sure you center align the text body, and your font is at least legible, or you’ll never hear the end of me criticizing your choice of Times New Roman, and how much it hurts my eyes.
Haha, even I know to not do that. As long as interpretation and expressive style are maintained, it will be a good translation.I dont mind MTLs as long as they are sensibly translated and most importantly properly proofread.
